Initial investigations indicated a blue Toyota Corolla was travelling north on Nambour Connection Road and a white Suzuki Swift was travelling south and the two cars collided at the intersection with McKenzie Road.

The driver and passenger of the Toyota reportedly ran from the scene before police arrived.

The 17-year-old female driver and two 17-year-old male passengers of the Suzuki were transported to hospital in stable conditions.
