The winner of a $1.6 million lotto prize remains a mystery, with the jackpot still unclaimed almost a month after the draw.

The entry was purchased at Nextra Gympie, with players on the Sunshine Coast being urged to check their tickets.

It was one of three division one-winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4563 on April 12. Their total windfall was $1,607,641.94 each.

The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said the mystery millionaire was likely oblivious to the fact they’d won such a large amount.

“Imagine going a month not knowing you won $1.6 million in Saturday Gold Lotto. That’s the reality for one Sunshine Coast player,” she said.

“While we’ve been unable to confirm the division one win with the winner, we’re sure that when they check their ticket and discover their news they’ll be jumping for joy.

“We’re encouraging anyone who purchased a ticket from Nextra Gympie to check their entries because they might be the mystery millionaire we’re searching for.

“This is a great reminder to all lottery players to register your ticket to The Lott Members Club because if you scored a life-changing prize, we could call you immediately after the draw with the exhilarating news.”

Nextra Gympie owner Kelly Goatham said she hoped the mystery winner checked their ticket and collected their prize soon.

“There were certainly a few expletives when we found out we sold a division one-winning entry,” she said.

“My co-owner Justene thought there was a snake in the house by the way I had yelled out to her in the morning.

“This is the first time Justene and I have sold a division one-winning entry since we took over.

“We came in early to get our store decorated with balloons and posters, and we’ve been sharing the exciting news with all of our customers.

“Ultimately, we’d love for it to be one of our regulars who doesn’t register their tickets to The Lott Members Club, but I guess we will have to wait to find out.”

The winning numbers were 45, 3, 22, 17, 13 and 6, while the supplementary numbers were 29 and 31.

The Lott’s division one-winning tally has now reached 394 so far in the 2024-25 financial year.
