An Instant Scratch-Its ticket that was neglected for two months has provided a Sunshine Coast woman with a big prize.
The $2 Confetti Cash ticket was purchased at Kawana News & Gifts at Kawana Shoppingworld but was put aside and largely forgotten.
Its owner, a local woman, eventually came across it and scratched her way to $25,000.
“It’s super exciting,” she said.
“I can’t believe I was the one to win one of the two top prizes on the ticket.
“I had the ticket sitting in a pile of receipts for the last eight weeks.
“Something told me to clear out the pile of receipts and that’s when I discovered the unscratched ticket.
“What a surprise. I tell you, my heart was pounding.
“I’m planning on surprising my two children with a relaxing getaway.

“They’re always working so hard so it’ll be nice to spend some time together.
“I’m getting excited just thinking about it. It’s going to be wonderful”
In 2024, there were 142 Instant Scratch-Its top prize winners across The Lott’s jurisdictions, who collectively took home more than $11.8 million in top prizes.
