The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal two-vehicle traffic crash on the Sunshine Coast.

Initial investigations indicate at that at about 2.58pm on Thursday, a motorbike collided with a Holden Colorado at the intersection of Hunsley Road and Obi Obi Road at Kidaman Creek.

The rider, a 70-year-old Palmwoods man, was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver, a 54-year-old New South Wales man, was not injured.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are continuing.

Anyone with information or dashcam footage is urged to contact police.

Emergency services also attended a serious crash involving a car and a motorbike at Maroochydore.

Emergency services were called to reports a Mazda CX-3 and a Harley Davidson XI1200 had collided at the intersection of Anzac Avenue and Ball Street at about 10.20am on Thursday.

The motorbike rider, a 47-year-old Maroochydore man, was transported to hospital with significant leg injuries.

The driver and passenger of the car, an 87-year-old Maroochydore woman and a 69-year-old Noosaville woman, were not physically injured.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam vision of the moments before the crash is asked to contact police.
