A suburban street is set to become one of the Sunshine Coast’s most prized locations.

Butler Street at Tewantin will feature four homes that can be won via Endeavour Foundation Lotteries.

Lotteries general manager Dominic Taylor said there would be a neighbourhood of winners.

“Butler Street is quite literally the Coast’s new millionaires’ row,” he said.

“To date we’ve already invested around $5 million into Butler Street, on the purchase of several blocks and the development of our first prize home (No.85), which is live right now.

“Over the next couple of years we will develop the neighbouring blocks with new, multimillion-dollar designer prize homes too, an additional injection we predict of another $5 million-plus to complete those projects.

“So, the winners of Lottery 460 (for No.85) won’t just win a $2.9m home and prize package, they’re set to toast their winning success with future next-door neighbours, who too, will have won an Endeavour Foundation Prize Home, helping people with disability.”

Robert James Realty agent Rob Anderson said the property market in the Noosa Shire was on the move, with recent property sales increasing by 9 per cent.

He said the new builds would add to the growing market.

“The average house price in the area is nearing $1.2 million for a four-bedder,” he said.

“Our most expensive sale in the region was in Noosa recently which sold for $30 million,” he said.

“This Tewantin property (No.85) is in good company and is in a vastly growing area close to shops, schools and amenities.

“It’s the convenience of Noosa without the bustle.

“Furthermore, if the winner didn’t want to move in, the rental market is equally booming. So, either way, it’s a win-win.”

No.85 boasts four bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms, a pool, multiple living spaces, a budding chef’s kitchen with built-in juice bar, a spacious study with pool views and a dedicated media room with snack bar.

No.85 Butler Street will be the first of multiple prize-winning homes in the neighbourhood.

Gillian and Mark, from the Sunshine Coast, know what it feels like to win a prize home. They won Lottery 450 at  Little Mountain.

“I was at work when I received the phone call and then I heard all the ladies in the background saying ‘you’re a winner’ and I had to sit down as my legs were shaking,” Gillian said.

Mark added: “I think the closest thing for us of winning anything is a meat tray or a chook: nothing like this.

“We’ve been renting for 26 years. We’ve never had the opportunity to own our own home.

“I’ve never owned a dishwasher. I do now. I’ve never had an ensuite. I do now.

“I’ve never owned a stove like that one, and being a cook I think we’re going to be good mates.

“We know we’re supporting a good foundation.

“Endeavour does so much good work and it’s not just helping young adults out, it’s giving them employment and they’re learning new skills.”

Endeavour Foundation’s Prize Home Lottery 460 is open for inspections from 10am to 4pm, Thursday to Sunday. Tickets are sold from $10. The lottery closes on April 19, with the live draw taking place on Facebook at 11am on April 17.

“All tickets sold will continue to help Endeavour Foundation support people with disability to live their best lives and achieve their dreams too, it’s a win-win,” Mr Taylor said.

“This could be through meaningful employment pathways, access to community activities and events, learning of life skills, and the opportunity to live comfortably in custom-built homes that meet individual needs.

“In addition, when developing each prize home, we employ countless people across a multitude of trades, investing greatly into every community we enter.

“It’s a real privilege to know our work helps the community who so generously help us and the people we support.”

Tickets can be purchased onsite, online at endeavourlotteries.com.au or by calling 1800 634 040.
