A landmark development in one of the Sunshine Coast’s established beach locations has reached a significant milestone.

The roof-topping of Bianco, an eight-storey building of 27 apartments with resort amenities in Tay Avenue, Caloundra, was celebrated on Friday, March 14.

Sunshine Coast councillor Terry Landsberg was an official guest at the party held to mark the pouring of the concrete roof, which is recognised as the last major stage of construction.

Cr Landsberg said it was a significant step in the transformation of Caloundra’s CBD.

“The Bianco project is set to become a defining landmark for Caloundra, setting a new standard for residential living while enhancing the vibrancy of the community,” he said.

“This Mediterranean-inspired development not only adds to the charm of the Sunshine Coast but also plays a pivotal role in driving economic growth and creating job opportunities for local residents.”

Bianco, an RCQ project, is the first new development in the Caloundra CBD in two decades and will bring residential and retail spaces to the area.

Belle Property Maroochydore’s project marketer John Stamp said there had been strong interest in the Bianco development, with 70 per cent of the project already sold.

“Buyers recognise the value in both the location and the quality of the offering,” Mr Stamp said.

“This is evident with one of the skyhome sales exceeding $4 million.”

RCQ director Ric Peterson said the company was committed to Caloundra’s revitalisation.

“RCQ strongly believes in Caloundra and its future. We’re excited to be a key part of its renaissance, starting with Bianco and followed by several other significant projects we have planned for the region,” Mr Petersen said.

“Bianco presents a rare opportunity for home seekers to secure a brand new luxury apartment in what is arguably Caloundra’s best location.

“Additionally, businesses will benefit from premium commercial and retail spaces in the area’s most prominent location, tailored to meet their specific needs.”

About 100 tradespeople have been working on the site each day.

Upon completion, the development will feature five modern commercial tenancies.

Mr Petersen said on-site inspections were available now that internal work was underway on most of the two-, three- and four-bedroom apartments.

“We are looking forward to welcoming Bianco residents into their new homes later this year, with move-in anticipated around August,” he said.
