A teen boy from the Sunshine Coast has been charged following an alleged burglary with violence in Brisbane.

About 10.40pm on February 1, it will be alleged two teenage boys armed with machetes gained access to a residence at Coopers Plains.

It will be further alleged the two boys entered a bedroom and threatened an occupant, a 50-year-old woman, demanding her car keys.

They then fled the scene.

The woman sustained minor injuries.

A garage remote and house keys were allegedly stolen.

It will be further alleged the two boys also attempted to force entry to a nearby residence around the same time but were unsuccessful.

Police arrested two people, a 13-year-old Sunnybank boy and 16-year-old Maroochy River boy, in Sunnybank about 1.30am on February 2.

They were both charged with seven offences each, including enter dwelling with intent by break at night in company, wilful damage, armed robbery, enter premises and commit indictable offence and face masked, blackened or disguise with intent to commit indictable offence.

Their police bail was refused, and they were due to appear before Brisbane Children’s Court yesterday.
