Plans have been submitted for a seven-storey luxury development featuring 36 apartments, which would be within easy walking distance of two popular beaches.

Created by MAS Architecture Studio, ‘Sunset by Dusk Group’ would be located on a prime 1255sqm block at 5-7 Bombala Terrace at Caloundra.

It would offer modern convenience, coastal design and beach views.

Lead architect Nick Symonds said he took inspiration from nearby Kings Beach and Bulcock Beach.

“The façade’s earthy colour palette and contrasting textures reflects the warm golden sands of Caloundra’s local beaches, giving an instant holiday feel,” he said.

“The gentle curved balconies reflect a contemporary coastal aesthetic while the floor to ceiling windows and spacious balconies create true indoor, outdoor connection.”

The design also incorporates a ground floor swimming pool, barbecue area, resident lounge area, foyer and green communal space.

“Sunset delivers what people have come to expect from modern coastal living,” he said.

Developer Dusk Group’s Anthony Short said residents would enjoy amazing water views to the north, east, and south.

“Residents can take in breathtaking sunset panoramas from Bulcock Beach to Bribie Island, and there’s the stunning Glass House Mountains to the west,” he said.

The development is close to the beach and within walking distance to modern amenities including Seasons Supermarket, Bicentennial Park, Kings Beach Tavern, and Caloundra Bowls Club.

One, two, and three-bedroom apartment configurations are on offer, with prices starting from $700,000 and Mr Symonds said they would appeal to first home buyers, investors, and local downsizers.

“I can’t wait to see Sunset come to life, meeting the need for quality design holiday apartments in the booming Sunshine Coast region,” he said.

Construction could start in the second quarter of 2025.

Sunset by Dusk Group would feature seven floors.
