An international commercial property company is adding a Sunshine Coast office by rebranding a successful existing agency.

Luxe Commercial, which has been operating in the region since 2015 headed up by experienced agent Chris Sales, will rebrand to Knight Frank.

The new franchise office is Knight Frank’s seventh in Queensland, alongside Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Cairns, Townsville, Mackay and Rockhampton.

Mr Sales, who becomes the Knight Frank Sunshine Coast managing director, said he was looking forward to working within the brand.

“We’re excited to scale our already successful agency to the next level with a global brand that has strong coverage throughout the world as well as nationally,” he said.

“Demand for commercial property services on the Sunshine Coast continues to strengthen, largely driven by major infrastructure projects.

“Our valued clients will benefit from Knight Frank’s wide network, with access to a greater number of buyers and tenants complementing the personalised service we provide.”

The agency will consist of agents Matthew Beaumont and Isaac Jurgs, Shannan Murphy in property management, general manager Brianne Mayne and executive assistant Lisa Korrelvink.

Based in Maroochydore, the new franchise will cover the Sunshine Coast as well as north to Maryborough, west to Toowoomba and south to Brisbane.

It will provide services across all commercial property sectors including industrial, retail, office, medical and development sites in sales, leasing and asset management.

Lisa Korrelvink, Chris Sales, Shannan Murphy, Matthew Beaumont, Brianne Mayne and Isaac Jurgs.

Knight Frank Queensland managing director Dominic Long said the firm was excited about establishing a presence on the Coast.

“The Sunshine Coast has experienced huge growth in recent years and there is more to come,” he said.

“This has created great opportunities in the commercial property market, which is seeing increased demand from occupiers and investors.

“Chris is a very experienced and skilled operator, with more than 15 years’ experience in the industry, and having established his own commercial agency more than nine years ago.”

The Knight Frank Sunshine Coast office opening follows the recent announcement that Knight Frank, together with New Zealand-based Bayleys, had finalised their joint acquisition of a controlling stake in Australian residential real estate group McGrath by way of a scheme of arrangement.

Headquartered in London, the Knight Frank network has 487 offices across 53 territories and more than 20,000 people.

The Knight Frank Sunshine Coast office is at Level 5, 8 Maroochydore Road, Maroochydore.
