A new group fitness experience with the lights dimmed like a “nightclub” is coming to the Sunshine Coast.

The new gym will provide a “nightclub-simulating” fitness experience via a series of hybrid workouts combining strength and conditioning training.

S30 Studio will open in Maroochydore on May 25 with locals Rhys Willemse and Jacob Lavender at the helm.

The progression-based training program will ensure members work up a sweat and build towards their fitness goals while powering through 30 sets across 18 stations in under 45 minutes.

Mr Willemse – a former professional downhill mountain bike racer who represented Australia – said he was looking forward to bringing the S30 experience to the Sunshine Coast.

“Since my early years as a professional downhill mountain bike racer, my passion for training has remained steadfast,” he said.

“With the opening of S30 in Maroochydore, we aim to deliver a truly unique training experience to people in the Sunshine Coast and support a positive movement in a world where every person is excited to train.”

S30 will open in Maroochydore.

CEO and co-founder Luke Faulkner said the opening marked the first of a rapid expansion of the gym in Queensland.

“S30 Maroochydore is the start of an exciting journey for our studios in Queensland, as we begin our rapid expansion in the region,” he said.

“We’re thrilled to have Rhys and Jacob join us in opening our first studio in the Sunshine Coast and build our existing footprint across Brisbane and the Gold Coast to truly create a fitness experience like no other for Queensland locals to enjoy.”

S30 offers hybrid-style group fitness.

Earlier this year, former Fitstop CEO Alan Myers joined S30 to spearhead the brand’s expansion in Queensland, with the establishment of a Brisbane headquarters.

S30 Maroochydore will open on May 25 at 1/29 Maud Street, Maroochydore. You can sign up here.
