“This morning I saw one of our beautiful Maleny platypus, unfortunately with a band of some sort around its neck. People need to be more careful of their belongings around creeks. Things like hair ties, elastic bands, fishing line and face masks can be life-threatening to wildlife,” wrote Sandy Gillis of Maleny.
