Staff from a local RSL have congratulated a customer who took home a major Keno prize on Saturday.

The Noosa man scored the Keno Mega Millions 8 Spot jackpot in draw 273, taking home $85,178.40 from Tewantin Noosa RSL.

“We’d just been out to dinner in town and decided to head to the RSL,” the winner said.

“I just had a feeling and it said ‘go and play a few games of Keno’. So, off I went.

“I normally play 10 numbers but on this occasion fate was telling me to play eight.

“It was the weirdest thing because I’d never done it before.

“It wasn’t too long before this prize started flashing across the screens and people started talking about a big win at the venue.

“I just thought ‘surely not’.

“But unbelievably, I checked my ticket and got told I’d hit it big. Not bad for a quiet night out.

“I’m not even sure I’ve processed it yet, but I know for sure I’ll be upgrading my car and putting a little bit away for the future.

“Fate works in funny ways I guess.”
