A Sunshine Coast hinterland property has attracted a mountain of interest ahead of its auction next week.

No.870 Bald Knob Road is called ‘Vue de Monde’, which means ‘world view’. It’s set to be sold for millions when it goes under the hammer on September 2.

The 7.08-hectare (17.5-acre) estate sits perched high on the hillside near Maleny, with stunning views and an extravagant residence that features four bedrooms, two bathrooms and six car spaces.

RE/MAX Hinterland agent Mark Clayton, who grew up in the region and has sold properties there for the past 16 years, said it was a classic home with stunning views.

“It’s the quintessential, iconic Maleny property: the aspect is as good as it gets,” he said.

“The views encompass the ocean, the mountains and the hilly ranges: they’re quite spectacular.

“There are views of the iconic Glass House Mountains and the rolling dairy farm countryside.”

The homestead is full of character and style.

“It is a finished product, only completed in 2021,” Mr Clayton said.

The property is spread over seven hectares.

“It’s a house with a lovely finish: hardwood floors, high ceilings and all the bells and whistles that you’d expect of a property of this calibre.

“It’s really well thought out and laid out, to take in and maximise the aspect.”

The property has attracted a swag of interest during the past couple of weeks.

“The inquiries have been the strongest out of any stock we have on the market,” Mr Clayton said.

“We are really happy with how it’s been received, with good inspection rates and excellent enquiry rates.”

About 25 groups have walked through the property and Mr Clayton said the prospective buyers were shocked by the views.

“They say ‘wow, this is so much better than in the photos’.”

“The views really do smack you in the face.”

A picturesque view from the kitchen.

He said the kitchen had also garnered plenty of attention.

“There was a lot of effort put into the designing, styling and colouring there.”

“It’s a bit different with the green centre bench and beautiful granite tops, which really contrasts well with the timber floors throughout the house.”

Outside, there is spring-fed water to paddocks, a dressage arena, stables, new fencing, a large shed, solar panels and 116,000L of water storage.

The current owners are professional builders who built the home, mainly as a weekender, in 2021.

Mr Clayton said new owners could use it as a permanent or getaway residence. He said the property could suit anyone, particularly semi-retired or retired people.

It’s expected to be sold for a bundle.

Other properties in the area have gone for between $2.75m to $4.275m during the past couple of years.

There will be further open days on Friday and Saturday this week, and on Friday and Saturday next week, with the auction to be held on the latter.
