Neighbours and prospective buyers can meet the developer and builder responsible for two projects that are helping to define the character of the Sunshine Coast’s latest masterplanned beachside community.

Gardner Vaughan Group (GVG) will host the meet-and-greet and information session from 9am to noon on Saturday, July 8, in the parklands directly opposite its current Zinc Bokarina development.

The award-winning property developer and builder has more than 25 years’ experience in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, with expertise in commercial projects, student accommodation, childcare centres, schools and other residential properties.

It has focused on apartment and townhouse projects over the past 10 years.

GVG finance and sales director Sam Gardner and other representatives will be on hand to answer questions and outline current projects, which include the soon-to-be-released Bask Bokarina – Zinc’s neighbour.

Zinc Stage 1 (44 apartments and two commercial premises) is rapidly rising out of the ground atop Bokarina Boulevard and Kombi Street.

Stage 2 comprises 40 apartments and one commercial space.

Once completed early next year, Zinc will boast a total of 84 apartments in two towers and eight beach houses, a podium-level outdoor pool, relaxation zones, ground-floor retail and resident and visitor parking

Prices ranged from $539,000-$2,399,000.

But Century 21 Lifestyle Caloundra owners Danelle Wiseman or Jonathan Pattinson – the selling agents for Zinc and Bask – said only three Zinc apartments remained unsold.

Ms Wiseman said the Zinc site office was currently closed for a refit, but would be reopening in mid-August so that buyers and prospective clients could see and touch the luxurious finishes to be included in the project.

Bask Bokarina will have a total of 135 apartments and nine commercial/retail over two towers along Bokarina Boulevard.

The Stage 1 Mydas building (completion expected early 2026) has 63 apartments and five commercial/retail premises, while the Stage 2 Caretta building (completion early 2027) has 72 apartments and four commercial/retail areas.

A GVG spokesperson said Bask was the company’s third development on the Sunshine Coast “and it certainly won’t be our last”.

Ms Wiseman said Bask already had gained plenty of interest.

Some stunning ocean views will be available from Bask Bokarina apartments, once completed.

“The one- and two-bedroom (apartments) have actually all been taken up by investors already at Bask,” she said.

“We’re launching a special expressions of interest campaign on the penthouses currently and have a number of buyers on the waiting list, prior to releasing to the public mid-August. Interested buyers can register their interest to receive the first release information.”

Ms Wiseman said GVG went above and beyond to look after its clients.

“The one thing I am truly impressed with is, given that I’ve been selling off the plan since the early 2000s here in Caloundra, is that these are seriously some of the best developers that I’ve ever worked with, given the quality of the work that they do and the way that they care so much about the people who actually buy into their developments,” she said.

“They heavily focus on the owner-occupier – putting in herb gardens, vege gardens, community spaces, and the interior spaces are extremely functional.

Gardner Vaughan Group ensures liveability is a premium consideration in projects such as Zinc Bokarina.

“We sold Revive Oceanside, which is across the road from the hospital in Birtinya – this was our first experience with GVG and now we are looking forward to our third development.

“We have a number of people who purchased in Zinc who purchased in Revive and Estilo (Estilo on the Park, Chermside) and their other Brisbane projects. To me, that really says a lot about them (the developer).”

Saturday’s community event will include a free sausage sizzle, balloons for the children, a picnic hamper raffle and jelly bean competition. A coffee cart will be on hand, and the parklands also include barbecues, seating and a playground.

“We have had great success at community engagement events, just chatting with the local residents, providing them transparent information on what we are doing and showcasing that we are real people who are committed to not only developing but building first class new homes,” the GVG spokesperson said.

“We truly care about the end user and ensuring they can live in functional, high-quality homes with fantastic amenities.  We feel events like the one on Saturday provide the opportunity to locals, potential buyers and the general public to gain an understanding of who developers really are.”
