A husband-and-wife team are combining their medical passions to bring a new clinic to the Sunshine Coast.

Plaza Central Medical and Aesthetics will offer a range of services under one roof from the expertise and direction of Dr Jitendra Nath and Radhika Narayan.

As a general practitioner for 22 years, Dr Nath has a wealth of experience and bring a level of care to his patients.

Dr Nath has worked in various areas of medicine before specialising into general practice.

After spending a few years in Fiji, he moved to Australia and has worked in emergency medicine, cardiothoracic and has spent numerous years in general surgery.

Prior to his final exams with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Dr Nath decided to embark on a career change and moved to the Sunshine Coast nine years ago to practice as a GP.

He has a keen interest in all areas of general practice, aesthetics and phlebology and is also an authorised medicinal cannabis prescriber.

Ms Narayan heads up the aesthetics side of the clinic, being a registered nurse, with a Certificate in Aesthetic Medicine and a Master of Business Administration.

She said the new custom-built space in Maroochydore was a dream they have designed together and it was now accepting new patients.

“It is a general practice with a very modern and relaxed atmosphere,” Ms Narayan said.

“In addition to the GP services, the aesthetics room offers treatments to enhance the overall well being- for those who may need this.

“From our custom-built aesthetic room we perform many procedures including anti-wrinkle injections, treatment of acne, scarring, pigmentation and for dull or tired looking skin.

Ms Narayan said she was hoping to grow the clinic and bring on more doctors as the demand continues.

“At the moment we have one doctor and we have room for four more GPs,” she said.

“We want to make people aware there is a new medical centre and we are taking new patients.”

Plaza Central Medical and Aesthetics is located at 10/18 Pikki Street, Maroochydore.
