The southern Sunshine Coast’s newest waterfront community has officially opened at Pelican Waters, with only a handful of premium lots remaining.

Castaways Pocket is nestled between the large Central Park and wide canal frontage on the emerging marina village and island precinct.

The high-end blocks have been selling quickly with the only remaining land including five 570sqm lots priced from $1.19 million and a large 756sqm block for $1.35 million.

There is one mega waterfront block of 900sqm that has just been released for $1.375 million for a buyer looking for added space.

“With the residential roads into Castaways Pocket now open, people can walk on the lots for the first time and get a real feel for the lifestyle that awaits,’’ said Pelican Waters general manager of development Hamish Pressland.

Castaways Pocket is connected with a soon-to-be finished pedestrian bridge linking to the southern end of Pelican Waters through to the coastal path along Bells Creek.

Offering easy access to the walkable foreshores on the new canal system, residents will enjoy pedestrian and cycle or scooter access along the waterfront all the way to the Pelican Waters Marina, Marina Village and beyond to Pelican Waters Shopping Village and Tavern.

Castaways Pocket will also be home to eight new and improved Signature Terrace homes (pictured below), providing the ultimate in low-maintenance living.

Located on a quiet street with north facing park views, the homes will have butlers’ pantries, 40mm stone bench tops, enhanced kitchens, north-facing alfresco areas and balconies added to the upstairs master bedroom overlooking the park.

Sized up to 284sqm, all homes offer four bedrooms including master bedrooms upstairs and down with improved ensuites and walk in robes.

“The new terrace collection is the culmination of listening to what our buyers want and fine tuning an already highly-popular product to set new standards in Sunshine Coast lifestyle. Pricing will be announced in the coming weeks,’’ Mr Pressland said.
