SCSO – The Power of Two

The Sunshine Coast Symphony Orchestra (SCSO) and the Sunshine Coast Youth Orchestra will join forces to bring a powerful concert of classical and film music favourites to Venue 114. Combining the two growing orchestras has created the largest orchestra to ever play on the Sunshine Coast.

Save Our Species – an exhibition by Jim Cox 

Throughout Jim Cox’s life he has volunteered in many projects to support our wildlife. This exhibition of artworks is his latest. Mr Cox hopes to raise awareness in a different way. Most Australians haven’t seen or heard of some of the animals featured in this body of work. “In just over 230 years we have caused unknown numbers to become extinct and now too many remaining iconic species are classified as endangered,” Mr Cox said.

When: Open now until Sunday, July 31.

Diesel – Tailored Set

Diesel is back with the brand-new full-length Sunset Suburbia album. Sunset Suburbia is the product of 30 years of making music. The Curated (side) Plate

The Curated Plate culinary festival is making its comeback on the Sunshine Coast, offering up ‘a 2022-sized serving’ for locals and visitors this winter. From July 29 to August 7, local restaurants, farms, tourism and event operators will throw open their doors and offer the best of the Sunshine Coast’s local food and beverage experiences. There is something to suit all tastes, ages and budgets.

Go Plastic Free and Plant a Tree

Sunshine Coast Council is hosting a beach clean-up and dune planting for National Tree Day at North Shore beach, Twin Waters. The beach clean-up starts at 8am, so head along and help sort the debris and learn more about source reduction and the Australian Marine Debris Initiative database. Our dunes need all the help they can get after this storm season – help replant our dunes as a part of the celebrations for National Tree Day. Make it a day at the beach and learn about our coast by exploring the Coastal Discovery Van and other exciting displays.
