Spineless Wonders

The Rainforest Discovery Centre at Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve is currently featuring the stories of the unsung heroes of the animal world – invertebrates. Discover the relationships of pollinators, see insect architecture at its best and uncover the super bugs of the rainforest. Learn about the lives of trapdoor spiders, Maleny spiny crayfish, giant earthworms and dung beetles. You may even be lucky enough to see live caterpillars and snails.

Snowy and the Seven Cool Dudes Launch

AJ Bailey is a Sunshine Coast actor, director, playwright, producer and now author. She began writing interactive stage plays for children in 2003, with a focus on educational messages. During the recent COVID lockdowns, she found her passion for children’s picture books, and finally had the time to pen her adaptation of Snow White and the Seven Cool Dudes – an inclusive story, written to rhyme, on acceptance and kindness. This is your chance to meet the author, who will have signed copies of Snowy and the Seven Cool Dudes for purchase on the day. Join in the fun with face painting, fairy cakes, music and fancy dress!

New Year’s Eve Cocktail Party

Together NYE 2021 

Ring in the new year with one of the biggest parties on the Sunshine Coast. Together returns to NightQuarter with one of Australia’s most engaging performers, Timmy Trumpet.
