Spineless Wonders
The Rainforest Discovery Centre at Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve is currently featuring the stories of the unsung heroes of the animal world – invertebrates. Discover the relationships of pollinators, see insect architecture at its best and uncover the super bugs of the rainforest. Learn about the lives of trapdoor spiders, Maleny spiny crayfish, giant earthworms and dung beetles. You may even be lucky enough to see live caterpillars and snails.

Snowy and the Seven Cool Dudes Launch
AJ Bailey is a Sunshine Coast actor, director, playwright, producer and now author. She began writing interactive stage plays for children in 2003, with a focus on educational messages. During the recent COVID lockdowns, she found her passion for children’s picture books, and finally had the time to pen her adaptation of Snow White and the Seven Cool Dudes – an inclusive story, written to rhyme, on acceptance and kindness. This is your chance to meet the author, who will have signed copies of Snowy and the Seven Cool Dudes for purchase on the day. Join in the fun with face painting, fairy cakes, music and fancy dress!

New Year’s Eve Cocktail Party
Bayview Bar and Bites, the exclusive beachfront restaurant and bar on the top floor of The Surf Club Mooloolaba, will play host to a New Year’s Eve cocktail party. You’ll receive champagne on arrival and a three-hour canape service along with live music by Nora Sahak trio and unbeatable views of the firework displays at 8.30pm and midnight.

ImproveMENt aims to build resilience and optimism in men and give them skills to share with their mates. Together NYE 2021Â
Ring in the new year with one of the biggest parties on the Sunshine Coast. Together returns to NightQuarter with one of Australia’s most engaging performers, Timmy Trumpet. DJ, producer and live instrumentalist, Timmy Trumpet is undoubtedly one of the most explosive performers in electronic music, currently ranked number 10 in the DJ Mag Top 100. Coolum Flicks in the Park
Visit Coolum and Coolum Business & Tourism are proud to present another season of Flicks in the Park to the Coolum community. This screening will show the family-friendly comedy The Lorax. Bring along a rug and enjoy a movie under the stars with your family and friends in Tickle Park. Screening commences around 6.30pm or as soon as the sun goes down. Ride The Night New Year’s Eve
Ride your way into 2022 with the Ride the Night New Year’s Eve special. Aussie World is a completely different experience in the dark. Whether it’s spinning through the night on the Redback, or shooting through the air on the Bombora Bounce – riding the attractions in the dark adds a whole new dimension of challenge to your favourite ride. At this event there will also be entertainment, music, food and excitement galore, concluding with an impressive fireworks display.
