Renowned chef Peter Kuruvita has plans for an exciting new venture, after moving on from his lengthy tenure at Noosa Beach House.

The 58-year-old is set to open ‘ALBA by Kuruvita’ later this year, at Alba Close, near Noosa Springs Golf Course at Noosa Heads.

It’s been heralded as a beautifully-appointed space with restaurant, cocktail bar, cafe, pizzeria, providore, cooking school and event space.

Those looking to enjoy Peter‘s signature style of quality produce, spiced with global flavours, including the famous snapper curry, won’t be disappointed.

The venue is on the site of the original ‘Noosa White’ sand quarry, and ALBA is the Latin word for ‘white‘ and Spanish ‘’sunrise‘ or ‘’dawn‘’.

Boasting calm, grassy surrounds, ‘ALBA by Kuruvita’ embodies the essence of fine food and the natural elements of its coastal surrounds.

It will be a hub of food and beverage offerings, with Sunshine Coast produce and the local community at its heart.

The cafe, providore, pizzeria, and relaxed all-day bar offering will evolve into a stylish restaurant and cocktail bar as the day progresses.

The venue also hosts ‘ALBA Chefs Kitchen‘, a creative space for cooking classes, private chefs‘ tables, and a complete studio kitchen.

“It is really exciting to be building a new venue again from the ground up,” he said.

“Working with the designers and developers – it is going to be a beautiful destination.

‘I wanted ALBA to have a diverse range of offerings – there’s something for everyone.

“There’s a great opportunity to keep the surrounding community happy with the cafe, take-away wood-fired pizza and a boutique providore.

“A stylish bar and all-day menu will draw golfers straight from the 18th hole at the bottom of the road.

“The dining room will offer either intimate dinners or open up for large events. It’s the ‘Chefs Kitchen’ that really excites me.

“I can’t wait to start on a cooking school & chef’s table programme – we’ll even be able to hire the space out as a wired studio kitchen with camera solutions. It’s a chef’s dream.”

Peter has spent the past eight years at the helm of Noosa Beach House, before leaving in September to pursue other opportunities.

He’s an award-winning chef and restaurateur, TV presenter, author and restaurant consultant.
