Stockland Aura has celebrated its 1000th sale this financial year.

The rapidly growing community is the largest masterplanned development in the country with a mix of freestanding homes, terraces, seniors living and low-rise apartments.

“We are excited to announce that Chris, Jade and Violet are our 1000th sale at Aura for this financial year,” Stockland Project Director at Aura Josh Sondergeld said.

The recent purchase follows strong house and land sales across Queensland during the past 12 months, a trend that doesn’t look to be slowing down due to low interest rates, access to credit and shifts in customer preferences to lifestyle locations.

The pent-up demand has seen the thriving community fast-track a number of land and townhome releases ahead of schedule.

Pent-up demand has seen Stockland Aura fast-track a number of land and townhome releases.

“Here at Aura, our vision is to create liveable communities by providing essential services and infrastructure close to home, so residents are connected with everything at their fingertips,” Mr Sondergeld said.

“Over the last 12 months we have seen continued strong demand with a shift in terms of preferences towards lifestyle communities and locations. This financial year has been one of our largest at Stockland and we forecast strong demand to continue over the next 12 months.

“At Aura everything is in demand. We provide a mix of housing typologies for first home buyers all the way through to upgraders. With a housing shortage in the region, we are seeing particularly high demand for townhomes and land development, resulting in fast tracking releases for both of these offerings to cater to that demand.”

Aura is home to more than 6000 residents and is anticipated to grow to a population of 50,000 during the next 25 years.

Almost six years after construction started on the $5 billion development, Aura has proved to be a popular location for individuals and families seeking a connected lifestyle close to schools, childcare, shopping, parks, playgrounds, cycleways, sports fields and employment hubs.

On completion, Aura is planned to include two business parks, 10 sporting grounds, 25 community facilities, 20 educational facilities, and 700 hectares of conservation areas and parkland.
