Employees can appreciate expansive views as energy provider moves into new home

A local energy provider has taken the entire eighth floor of the first completed building in Maroochydore’s new CBD.

ASX-listed LPE (Locality Planning Energy) moved into the premises earlier in the year, and with the finishing touches completed, the office has been formally opened by Sunshine Coast Mayor Mark Jamieson.

LPE outgrew their office space in Kon-Tiki, so have taken a whole floor in Foundation Place, the first building to be finished in the CBD.

“As a company that is experiencing rapid growth, it was important to secure a space that would not only house us together but would also provide an environment that would be good for the culture,” founder and CEO of LPE, Damien Glanville said.

“We aim to be an employer of choice on the Sunshine Coast and ensuring our team enjoy coming to work is important.

“The floor to ceiling glass windows means everyone has expansive views, which the staff tell us they really appreciate.”

Since being founded in 2014, the company has grown to now employ more than 70 people, and choosing the Maroochydore CBD home was no accident.

“Although we sell electricity, we see ourselves as innovative and agile and we are prepared to do things differently in order to attract and maintain our 40,000-plus customers, and the potential offered by this site was enormous.”

LPE, Queensland’s electricity provider, was founded on the Sunshine Coast with the vision to empower people to save money and to create sustainable communities of the future.
