Strong demand has led to the early release of Stage 2 of the modern Sunshine Coast apartment development Plaza Central in Maroochydore.

Only one residence is still available in Stage 1 – a two bedroom, one bathroom apartment – with buyers flocking to get into the Pikki St project off the back of strong market conditions and with construction progressing.

Plaza Central is being developed by leading national property and construction group Pindan, and construction is steaming ahead.

“The basement works for Stage 1 are near completion and the podium level has been poured. The development is moving forward swiftly as buyers are appreciating the incredible lifestyle opportunities of the Sunshine Coast, an emerging key Australian business hub with a growing economy,” said Pindan Acquisition Manager Remi Rafter.

“The $15,000 HomeBuilder Grant in addition to Queensland’s $15,000 First Home Buyer Grant has also sparked a great deal of interest and it’s on offer until the end of March 2021 to eligible buyers.

“Likewise, we are experiencing the return of investors to the market who are seeing the incredible opportunity to get their foot on the property investment ladder with a surging rental market driven by low vacancy rates.”

Plaza Central buyer Christopher de Vos was able to access the Government grants and said he was drawn to the amazing location.

Pindan Sales Manager Cathie Price.

“Maroochydore was already a meeting spot on most weekends for me for a coffee with friends and family who live in the area or close by, so this was a great opportunity,” he said.

Mr de Vos said he was very excited to move in when construction finished toward the end of this year.

“I was attracted to the lifestyle of apartment living; I don’t need a big house to start me on the property journey. I can’t wait to be able to walk to the cafes and restaurants in the area and jump on my bike to get to the beach for a surf.”

Pindan Sales Manager Cathie Price said the area’s shopping, dining and entertainment scene, as well as its stunning beaches and nature spots, made it an idyllic living destination.

“We know there’s strong demand for Stage 2 so buyers are urged to get in quick to this popular development which boasts two five-level buildings with lift access and secure underground parking,” she said.

Plaza Central is just 100 metres from the expansive Sunshine Plaza Shopping Centre, within walking or riding distance of the Maroochydore CBD, Ocean Street’s popular restaurants and cafes, and the Cotton Tree waterfront dining area and a short bike ride or drive to the beach

It’s being built by local company RCQ Construction and designed by Sprout Architects.

Completion of Stage 2 is expected in the second quarter of next year.

One bedroom apartments start from $332,000 and 2 bedrooms from $405,000 in Stage 2.

The sales office, at 12 Amaroo St, Maroochydore, is open Tuesday to Saturday 9am to 4pm.
