An 18-year-old man who was driving a suspected stolen vehicle has died following a single vehicle crash at Kulangoor on the Sunshine Coast on Tuesday morning.

Police said the white station wagon was traveling along Rutherford Road when it veered off the road and collided with a tree about 4.30am.

As a result of the crash, the 18-year-old driver and single occupant of the vehicle died at the scene.

The white Mitsubishi Outlander is suspected of being stolen from a property in Nambour prior to the crash.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

Anyone with information or dash cam footage captured between Nambour and Kulangoor prior to the crash is urged to contact police.

In overnight news, a man in his 60s received a suspected snake bite at a private address in Buderim at 8pm Monday.

He was taken by ambulance to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
