A new principal has been welcomed to one of the Sunshine Coast’s most successful schools.

Mrs Anna Owen is the fourth principal to lead Sunshine Coast Grammar since its inception in 1997.

She took over from Maria Woods, who was at the helm for almost 10 years.

Mrs Owen said she was excited to step into the role.

“I look forward to meeting and working with the entire Grammar community as we collectively contribute to the next chapter in the life of the school,” she said.

“I strongly believe in equipping students with the confidence, skills and education they need to shape their futures, whether they want to be a political leader, run their own business or chase their dreams with passion and purpose.”

At Canberra Girls Grammar School, Mrs Owen established and implemented award-winning strategic direction and design.

A member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, she is completing her Masters of Business Administration through the University of Queensland.

Mrs Owen achieved her Masters in Science with a high distinction and completed the Stanford University Managing Teams for Innovation and Success program.
