A Sunshine Coast mowing business has been recognised with a coveted award and is set to welcome more staff.

Sunshine Coast Mowers has been recognised by renowned manufacturing company John Deere with a national sales excellence award, following an outstanding year of superior performance and brand representation among dealer locations across Australia and New Zealand.

Owner Hayden Cook was thrilled to win the award after stocking John Deere products just five years ago.

“I’m really proud of our team, we work really hard to develop great product knowledge and I have no doubt that our sales service is second to none,” he said.

“It’s great that a Sunshine Coast family-owned business, which I run with my brother Gerard, can compete on a national and international level and succeed.

“Competition in our industry is tough and we are up against some big players but we work on the little things like assembling machines for our customers as well as pre-sales testing so customers know exactly how their machine operates before they take it home.

“We were also recognised with the Hansa Chipper dealer of the year award last year, so it’s great that multiple brands have acknowledged our dedication and professionalism.

Sunshine Coast Mowers was purchased by David Cook in 2002 and in 2012 his sons Hayden and Gerard bought the business and continued his legacy, following David’s passing earlier that year.
