The book 60 Days to Mindfulness is aimed at helping people to change their mindset.

“Before I came up with the idea for the book, I told my clients that instead of checking Facebook or Instagram every morning, the minute they wake up, to instead take 10 minutes and sit outside and breathe in the fresh air and just be grateful for the moment. I then asked them to write down what they were grateful for which could be anything at all.

“The impact was significant with people starting to realise that their life didn’t revolve around social media or keeping up with others and the sanitised version of what they were sharing, and as a consequence, we were able to start to see real improvements in their mental health”.

The book 60 Days to Mindfulness is based on a gratitude journal that you complete for 60 days.

Peppered between the days are tips, hints and resources for dealing with motivation, anxiety, goal setting, nutrition and exercise which are aimed at providing the user with a resource that will help them form new habits over 60 days.

The book will be officially at the Lakehouse, 15 Freshwater Street, Mountain Creek, on Thursday, November 11, at 6pm. It is available for purchase via Body by Leon.
