Mental Health services will receive a boost on the Sunshine Coast, through a partnership at new local health and well-being precinct Vitality Village.

Mental health consultancy Character Care has moved into the $25 million new facility at Birtinya, which was officially opened late last month.

The village is a collaborative care project championed by community services organisation Be.

Character Care CEO Damon Joseph said bringing his team of 10 to the village would help Character Care redouble its efforts to improve the mental health of local residents.

“The Vitality Village vision aligns perfectly with our belief that each of us needs to nurture ourselves and those around us,” he said.

“Together we are stronger.

“Vitality Village is a beautiful space which supports these values.

“We firmly believe that the collaboration and partnership at the Village will raise the standard of practice, knowledge and referral rate of clients.
