A new tenant sees its move to the $25 million Vitality Village in the Sunshine Coast Health Precinct as an “absolute game-changer”.

The Allied Health Team has joined some of the region’s leading businesses under the one roof at the five-storey, 4700 sq m building at Birtinya, in the heart of the precinct – the largest health infrastructure project currently under development in Australia.

The team includes exercise physiologists, occupational therapists and physiologists offering integrated health and well-being services.

The services range from recovery and rehabilitation, to performance management and improvement, as well as early intervention to the community to help improve quality of life.

CEO Ryan Dreves said the move to Vitality Village, opposite Sunshine Coast University Hospital and Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital, was exciting and would help expand current services in exercise physiology and occupational therapy.

“The potential the Village has for both creating and delivery a higher quality of service is incredible and draws us to this project,” he said.

“Working alongside other industries to improve the health and well-being of the Sunshine Coast is something that drives our business.

“Seeing how other industries work, adopting some of their methods, and incorporating them into our industry will be an absolute game-changer.”

Mr Dreves said the business already had started collaborating with other Vitality Village tenants to the future benefit of the community.

“Our offices within the Vitality Village are to support our growing team of allied health professionals, so they will help our current team expand,” he said.

“We plan on being able to offer new allied health services, which we otherwise would not have been able to do in the spaces we are currently in.

“Vitality Village will force businesses to better themselves for the sake of the community, and every person within each team is going to grow as a result of this.”

Mr Dreves expected to add more professionals to the current team, as well as introducing other services through physiotherapy, speech pathology, dietetics, osteopathy, psychology, and music therapy.

More than 70% of the Vitality Village, built by Coast developer McNab on Kawana Way, is currently leased or under offer.

The project is backed by community services organisation Be (formerly ComLink) and private investment.
