A Sunshine Coast driver is braced for one of the biggest weekends of his career, competing in two events at Mount Panorama.
Harri Jones will co-drive the No. 4 Matt Stone Racing Chevrolet Camaro, with V8 Supercars regular Jack Le Brocq, in the famous Bathurst 1000.
The 27-year-old will also jump into his No. 12 Hastings Deering Porsche GT3 Cup car for the next round of the Porsche Carrera Cup Australia Championship.
“This is my favourite week of the year, and everything we do in the lead-up is preparation for Sunday,” he said.
“There’s nowhere in the world quite like Bathurst. The race demands such a delicate balance of risk versus reward and we all have one goal: to claim glory at the Mountain.
“Racing in two categories makes for a huge few days but I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Jones, an Immanuel Lutheran College graduate, arrives at Bathurst in strong form.
In wet and treacherous conditions at the recent Supercars endurance round at The Bend Motorsport Park, he carved his way from 15th on the grid to second during his stint before handing over to Le Brocq.
It was a statement of pace and a promising sign for the Matt Stone Racing pairing heading to the mountain.

This is Jones’ second year as a Supercars co-driver, following his Bathurst 1000 debut in 2025.
Jones competed in the Porsche Supercup in Europe, is a two-time Carrera Cup Australia champion and leads this year’s championship with McElrea Racing.
He is the founder of Jones Motor Culture, a Kunda Park workshop specialising in the service, storage and restoration of Porsche and other European marques.
From the workshop, he runs his own Porsche Sprint Challenge team, Jones Motorsport, which develops and mentors the next generation of Australian racing talent.

“I’m a Sunny Coast local through and through and I’m very proud of the heights I’ve been able to reach in this sport,” he said.
“I couldn’t have done it without the Sunshine Coast businesses and individuals who have backed me every step of the way.”
The main race, the Bathurst 1000, will be held on Sunday, from 10.30am AEST, and will be broadcast live and free on Channel 7 and 7plus, and on Fox Sports and Kayo.
