Former Bachelor Australia star Sam Wood is facing two domestic violence charges following an alleged incident in Noosa.

The 46-year-old Victorian fitness entrepreneur was refused bail and is due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Monday, October 5.

A Queensland Police Service spokesperson told Sunshine Coast News officers attended a Hastings Street address about 9pm on Saturday after receiving reports of alleged domestic violence.

“The man has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm (domestic violence) and strangulation in a domestic setting,” the spokesperson said.

Mr Wood rose to prominence as the Bachelor on the third season of The Bachelor Australia in 2015 and subsequently became a high-profile fitness entrepreneur.
