A new night market is launching on the Coast, offering visitors a chance to enjoy street food, live music and local creations in a waterfront setting.
The Noosa Twilight Markets will launch at Noosa Marina on October 3, with the event to run on the first Saturday of every month from 4pm to 8pm.
The markets will combine local makers, Sunshine Coast street food vendors and live entertainment overlooking the Noosa River.
Visitors will be able to explore handmade jewellery, original art, fashion, homewares, gifts, gourmet products and other unique finds, with a focus on locally created items and craftsmanship.
Sunshine Coast Music and Events creative director Lea Taylor said the waterfront setting would provide a different atmosphere as the sun sets over the river.
“The river is beautiful at any time of day, but there’s something very special about being here as the sun starts to go down,” she said.
“You have the smells of incredible food cooking, music playing, people laughing and chatting, the lights coming on and that beautiful river right beside you. It creates a wonderful Saturday night experience.”

Rather than mass-produced market items, the event will showcase small businesses, designers and artisans with products featuring creativity, quality and a story behind them.
Visitors can reach the markets by car, bus, bike, scooter or by catching the Noosa River ferry from Hastings Street, with the journey itself offering scenic views along the water.
