A five-hectare park featuring a play tower and pump track has opened in a rapidly-growing community.
Developer Stockland officially launched Boab Oasis Park at Nirimba in Aura on Saturday.
The area was designed for children and families of all ages and abilities, combining inclusive play spaces with a pump track suitable for riders of every skill level.
Stockland development director Josh Sondergeld said community consultation played a key role in shaping the park’s design and ensuring it met the needs of local families.
“One of the clearest messages we heard was that families wanted a space where children of all abilities could play together, side by side, sharing the same experiences rather than playing separately. That feedback helped shape the park we see today and is at the heart of what makes Boab Oasis Park such a welcoming and inclusive space,” he said.
“Combined with Aura’s first pump track, the park offers something for everyone, whether that’s a child taking their first ride on a balance bike, a family spending time together outdoors or an experienced BMX rider looking to test their skills.”
Sam Burns, associate director at Urbis, the landscape architects behind the design of the park, said community feedback helped shape a design where inclusivity is woven throughout.
“We wanted Boab Oasis Park to feel welcoming and exciting for the whole community,” he said.
“From the play equipment and pathways to the sensory features and spaces to gather and connect, we’ve considered how people with different needs can experience and enjoy the park together.
“Seeing children and families share those experiences is what parks like this are all about.”
The playground’s inclusive design features a ramp-access play tower, with equipment such as a carousel, disc spinner, swings, roller slides, see-saws and a sand digger selected to support different mobility and ability levels.
Sensory features including talk tubes, Colossus chimes, a sensory garden, and quiet retreat spaces offer children with diverse sensory needs opportunities to explore and play at their own pace, while the fully-enclosed playground provides added peace of mind for families and carers.
The pump track includes dedicated beginner sections connected to more advanced riding areas, offering a smooth, flowing ride suitable for scooters, skateboards and BMX bikes.

Across the park, rubber softfall surfacing, wheelchair-accessible Takura mulch and 1.8m-wide pathways improve access for mobility-aid users, carers and families with prams, while shaded seating, picnic areas and barbecue facilities provide spaces for families to spend time together with a front-row seat to the action.
Boab Oasis Park is located at 2 Boab Circuit.
Aura is Australia’s largest masterplanned community and is currently home to more than 16,000 residents.
There are plans for a Central Park, a 120ha regional park, 10 sporting grounds as well as parks and playgrounds within 400m walking distance of every home, linking residential areas to local employment precincts, schools and retail centres.
