A man and woman have been charged over the alleged theft of a caravan from a beachside holiday park.
Police allege that the pair attended a caravan park on Cottonwood Street at Mudjimba, in a red Nissan Navara, and stole a Coromal caravan on Wednesday between 8.30am and 10am.
Police located the Nissan Navara in the Coolum area on Thursday and arrested a 41-year-old Chermside man and a 43-year-old Alligator Creek woman. The caravan was located at a Sunshine Beach address.
Both have been charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
The man was due to appear before Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Friday, September 11.
The woman was granted police bail and was due to appear before Maroochydore Magistrates Court on October 1.
The investigation and subsequent charges are a part of Operation Yankee Forge, a six-month, district-led, statewide initiative targeting high-harm and high-volume offences, including unlawful use of motor vehicles, unlawful entry and robbery.
