The 10-bedroom property at 2756 Eumundi Kenilworth Road, within a minute’s drive of Kenilworth, is set to be auctioned on September 20.
At the heart of the 1.4ha estate sits a restored, century-style main residence featuring 13-foot ceilings, original fretwork, skylights and wraparound verandas overlooking mountains
The current owner, mine operator Benjamin Wiig, spent three years at the property, upgrading the main homestead and its surroundings.
“When I first saw this property, I knew I had to buy it,” he said.
“I fell in love with the land and the lifestyle it could provide. My brother lives on the property to help with the work, and together we brought it to life.
“We paid for a professional sander to restore the timber floors, had a professional painter paint the main house and cottages, updated the kitchen, added walls, restored the roof, refreshed the decks and completely updated the electrical systems with new light fixtures.”
Beyond the main four-bedroom residence, the estate features five fully self-contained, country-style cottage labelled Lazy Sundays, Snug, Pixie Nest, Gypsie Meadow and Rose Cottage.
“The real drawcards are the stunning property and the beautiful cottages,” Mr Wiig said.
“All the cottages have a country style with a hint of rustic: nothing else comes close to them, they are truly unique.
“While I originally thought about hosting weddings, the estate is exceptionally suited to a couple or a husband-and-wife team looking to run a boutique accommodation venture.”
Mr Wiig said his favourite spot is sitting on the deck looking out over the property.
“It is just sensational,” he said.
But Mr Wiig is a fly-in, fly-out worker so is unable to make the most of the property, so he decided to sell.

The landscaped grounds feature a Tuscan-inspired courtyard with an open fireplace, a peaceful billabong, an open grassy field with alpaca enclosures, a 9.9kW solar system, bore water access, and parking for up to 14 vehicles.
The property was put on the market early last year but was not sold.
The estate is now being marketed by Ray White Mooloolaba sales agent Kirstin Cowie and will be auctioned at Mercedes-Benz Sunshine Coast, Maroochydore.

The Coastal Living Auction Event, hosted by Ray White, will be held at Mercedes-Benz Sunshine Coast on Maroochy Boulevard on Sunday, from 10am.
