A newly built luxury hinterland estate is drawing international attention.

The sprawling 49-acre property at Montville has attracted inquiries from overseas buyers, interstate house hunters and Brisbane migrants since hitting the market, according to Coronis selling agent Liam Mahony.

Mr Mahony said early interest had come from as far away as Hong Kong and Southeast Asia.

Set high above the hinterland, the property at 435 Balmoral Road offers sweeping coastal views stretching from Moreton Island to Mount Coolum.

Mr Mahony said the elevation and outlook was one of the estate’s most striking features.

“You really do feel like you’re sort of sitting on top of the world up there,” he said.

The five-bedroom, five-bathroom residence spans about 1100sqm and includes multiple living areas, a cinema room, games space and a wine cellar capable of storing 250 bottles.

Outdoor features include a tennis court, infinity pool and several entertaining terraces positioned across the landscaped estate.

While large blocks are not uncommon in the hinterland, Mr Mahony said it was rare to find this combination of acreage, views and a newly built luxury home.

“It really is just a one-of-one,” he said.

“I think the hardest thing to find up in that inland region is a brand new home that also has that sort of elevation.

“A lot of the properties that have sold anywhere between the $8 million to even $14 million range have been much older homes.”

The property was built by local developer Bright Black Developments, which purchased the land about four years ago.

Construction of the home took about two-and-a-half years and was completed roughly 12 months ago.

“They bought it as a cattle property and it was severely overgrown,” Mr Mahony said.

“They’ve come in and done a lot of work to get the property ready for market.”

The estate also includes a separate caretaker’s residence, guest facilities with gym and sauna, a six-car garage and large landscaped grounds.

One of the more unusual features for a residential property is the designated space for a future helipad.

“It doesn’t have one yet, but there’s plenty of space for it,” Mr Mahony said.

Its sustainability features include a 22kW solar system, a 100,000-litre underground water tank and an enlarged dam on the property.

“There are systems throughout the property that take care of all the manicured parts of the land,” Mr Mahony said.

“Closer to the back of the property we’ve even had cattle there to help sustain the block and stop it from overgrowing.”

Despite its private setting, the estate is only five minutes from Montville village and 10 minutes to Maleny.

“The beauty of that property is you’re not massively far away from everything,” Mr Mahony said.

The property is on the market via expressions of interest.
