A woman is fighting for life after a wounding incident on Friday afternoon.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson told Sunshine Coast News officers were called to Hancock Street in Mooloolaba around 5.11pm in relation to a reported disturbance.
Upon police arrival, all parties involved in the disturbance had left the scene.
An injured 24-year-old woman, who sustained wounds to her abdomen, was later located at a property in Mountain Creek.
She was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition but has since been assessed with life-threatening injuries.
A crime scene has been declared as police investigate the circumstances leading up to the incident.
Investigators are urging any witnesses or anyone with relevant vision to contact police.
