A Sunshine Coast man is rejoicing after being informed he’s a Lucky Lotteries winner.

The Sunrise Beach local was told he had scooped $200,000 in Mega Jackpot draw 1769, which was drawn on Wednesday, February 18.

“I’m a very happy man,” he said when an official from The Lott rang to confirm his prize.

“This is honestly the best phone call I’ve ever received. I’ve been playing Lucky Lotteries since I was 18 years old.

“I’ve had a few $1,000 wins here and there, but this on a whole other level.”

A man won $200,000 with a Lucky Lotteries ticket.

He looked forward to treating himself to a new water toy.

“I’ve been thinking about buying a surf ski for a couple of years and I’ll finally do it,” he said.

“I’ll also help out my adult children. I’ll be able to bring a smile to their faces when I surprise them.”

The man’s winning entry of one number was purchased via The Lott app.

Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.

Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.
