A man has suffered potentially life-threatening injuries in a vehicle and pedestrian incident last night.

The 46-year-old sustained abdominal injuries in the incident on Hinkler Parade, Maroochydore, at 7.15pm.

He was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital.

A police spokesperson said they weren’t notified of the incident until 11.35pm.

“Initial information indicates a 46-year-old man was struck by a vehicle on a private property,” they said.

They said police were not treating the matter as suspicious at this time.

Investigations are going.
