A man has been taken to hospital after he was pulled from a seaside pool.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said the man, in his 80s, was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital after a near drowning incident.

The incident occurred at the Kings Beach Ocean Pool.

The man was taken to hospital in a potentially life-threatening condition before Sunshine Coast Health officials stated that he was in a stable condition.

The spokesperson could not confirm if the man suffered a medical episode.

Sunshine Coast News has reached out to the region’s chief lifeguard.

Meanwhile, a person was transported to SCUH in a stable condition after a single-vehicle crash into a tree at Birtinya.

The person suffered facial injuries in the incident, which occurred on the corner of Birtinya Boulevard and Splendor Place at 6.43am.
