Kairos Community College, a fee-free special assistance school for students in Years 10 to 12, will open its Nambour campus in January 2026, reinforcing the town’s ongoing transformation.

“Bringing Kairos to Nambour means more young people can access a small, supportive learning environment close to home,” executive principal Tony Andrews said.

“Our model prioritises relationships, wellbeing and flexible pathways so students can rebuild confidence and re-engage with their education.”

The college will operate from a temporary site at 66-68 Currie Street in 2026 while construction begins on a purpose-built campus at 32 Coronation Avenue, scheduled for completion in 2027.

Due to its central location and proximity to the rail corridor, the campus is expected to serve students not only from Nambour but also from surrounding communities.

Kairos is growing with its students: starting with Year 10 in 2026, adding Year 11 in 2027 and offering the full Year 10 to 12 program by 2028.

The expansion aligns with a surge of private investment revitalising Nambour.

An enrolment information morning will be held at Small Change Cafe in Nambour from 7am on November 13, and inquiries are now open for students entering Years 10 to 12 in 2026.
