A crime scene has been established on the Sunshine Coast in relation to the suspicious disappearance of a 56-year-old man from Brisbane.

Andrew Burow went missing from Kelvin Grove on August 20, with his disappearance described as out of character.

He was reported missing on August 24, with investigations late yesterday leading detectives to believe the disappearance was suspicious.

Early this morning an incident centre was established by the Brisbane City Criminal Investigation Branch under Operation Veer, and today a crime scene was declared at an address on Kokoda Avenue, Bli Bli.

Officers remain at the property as investigations continue.

Police and family hold significant concerns for Mr Burow’s welfare as he has not contacted anyone since his disappearance.

Anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts or information about the missing person is urged to contact police immediately.

He is described as Caucasian with a fair complexion, reddish/sandy hair and bluish-green eyes.
