A homicide investigation is underway following the death of a man who was found with multiple stab wounds at Warana.

Emergency services were called to a Napalle Street address about 7.35pm following reports a neighbour had found the man unresponsive in his front yard.

Police found the 57-year-old Warana had multiple stab wounds to his abdomen.

The man was declared dead at the scene and a crime scene was established.

Investigations into the circumstances of his death are ongoing, with police launching Operation Xray Elting.

Anyone with information or CCTV vision of the area between 11pm on Sunday, July 13, and 7.35pm on Monday, July 14, is urged to contact police.

He was found unresponsive and was declared dead at the scene.

A crime scene has been declared and investigations into the circumstances of his death are continuing.
