A hinterland pub has received the top regional dining gong at the prestigious 2025 Queensland Hotel Association Awards for Excellence.
The historic 124-year-old Woombye Pub was crowned Queensland’s best regional restaurant in the general division at the recent QHA awards.
Venue manager Mark Welchman said he had “a genuine mix of emotion, disbelief and profound gratitude” about the award win.
“This award isn’t just a win; it’s the culmination of years of unwavering dedication, passion and immense hard work from every single member of our Woombye Pub family,” he said.
It was the pub’s first entry and win at the awards since joining the Norton Hospitality Group in 2010.
