A well-known beachside homewares and fashion store has been listed for sale after two decades of trade.
Otilly and Lewis at Peregian Beach, known for its selection of European and Australian products, is being marketed by Ray White Commercial Noosa.
Owner Helen Allison said she was selling the business to “take time to smell the roses”.
“I have been in retail for 51 years in total – Melbourne 10 years, Hong Kong 11 years and Peregian Beach 30 years – and have always had a passion for beautiful things and travel,” she said.
“My 11 years in Hong Kong taught me international buying and my vision for Peregian Beach was that one day it would become a special destination for shopping. If you are good and special enough people will find you.
“The business grew organically and so did the client base. It’s been a blast the whole journey. I have made wonderful friendships with so many on my travels.”

RWC Noosa agent John Petralia said the business and optional freehold were on offer.
“This is the kind of business that rarely comes along,” he said.
“It’s built on decades of travel, sourcing and personal relationships with long-standing international suppliers.
“The structure has been intentionally designed to allow the owner freedom and lifestyle flexibility, including tax-deductible travel to destinations like Paris and Portugal.”

The business, which has an annual turnover of more than $1 million, is supported by a team, including a store manager and two experienced sales consultants, that can run day-to-day operations.
“The prime retail location in Peregian Beach, with 112sqm of boutique space, is a key selling point, along with the exclusive supplier agreements and licensed product manufacturing for maximum profit,” Mr Petralia said.

The shop boasts imported and local brands including Santa Maria Novella, Trudon, Ortigia Sicilia and Mud Ceramics.
“The foundation has been meticulously built over 20 years,” he said.
“The products are established, with seasonal refreshes that keep things current without needing a full reset.
“For someone with an eye for design and a love of travel, this is a dream business.”
Ms Allison said it was a great opportunity.
“A new owner with passion can build on what already exists: online shopping, expanding to Sydney and Melbourne, expanding already-existing manufacturing in France, Portugal and UK,” she said.
“There are so many beautiful products in Europe and with the yearly buying trips finding treasures to add to my collection is great fun.”
