An under-construction hospital on the Sunshine Coast has unveiled key tenants, ahead of its likely opening in 2026.

The Maroochy Private Hospital, an advanced health and research precinct, has revealed that Sunshine Coast Radiology and Sports and Spinal will be at the precinct.

The hospital has previously announced that its academic partner will be the University of the Sunshine Coast.

The organisations are expected to anchor a multidisciplinary model of care designed to elevate patient outcomes, foster collaboration and to provide advanced local health services for Sunshine Coast residents.

As part of the Imaging Queensland network, Sunshine Coast Radiology will bring cutting-edge diagnostic imaging to the new facility, including AI-driven technologies and advanced modalities.

Sunshine Coast Radiology will provide cutting-edge diagnostic imaging at the hospital.

Sunshine Coast Radiology general manager Sharon Hinchley said its services supported faster, more accurate diagnoses across a wide range of specialties.

“Our commitment to providing high-quality diagnostic imaging aligns perfectly with the hospital’s vision for exceptional patient care,” she said.

“We look forward to working closely with surgeons, physicians, and specialists to improve health outcomes and meet the rising demand for local, advanced imaging services.”

Sports and Spinal will relocate from its long-established Cotton Tree location and expand its local allied health team from 18 to almost double within the hospital precinct.

Senior physiotherapist and associate partner Laura Perry services would include physiotherapy, exercise physiology, podiatry and massage. She said S&S would play a vital role in rehabilitation and preventative care.

“We were drawn to the collaborative vision of Maroochy Private Hospital,” she said.

“This move enables us to support more patients and be part of an integrated healthcare approach that truly puts people first.”

Maroochy Private Hospital is being developed by Fortius Healthcare with a vision to deliver extraordinary care through innovation, collaboration, and patient-centred design.

The hospital’s Associate Professor Daevyd Rodda said the facility will include private inpatient suites, cutting-edge operating theatres, and co-located services across orthopaedics, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, plastic surgery, maxillofacial surgery and pain medicine.

“This is more than a hospital, it’s a future-focused ecosystem designed to raise the bar for private healthcare on the Sunshine Coast,” he said.

“We’re proud to partner with these exceptional providers who share our commitment to delivering care that goes beyond expectations.”

A small number of tenancy opportunities remain. Health providers interested in securing space within the facility are encouraged to enquire. For more information click here.
