A Sunshine Coast man has been rushed to hospital after a serious fall from a ladder, while another required rescuing from the side of a mountain.

The former, a man in his 70s, was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with a potentially life-threatening head injury.

The incident occurred at a Buddina residence at about 12.28pm.

It was one of three events within six minutes for emergency services in the region.

Rescue efforts were launched to help a man on the side of Mount Beerwah.

Fire department, police and ambulance crews were called to the scene at about 12.24pm.

The Queensland Ambulance Service told Sunshine Coast News that personnel had made contact with the climber, who was not believed to be injured, and helped him down.

The Queensland Fire Department told SCN that vertical rescue technicians abseilled down to secure him, after he had become stuck on a trail about 30m from the base of the mountain.

Also, a person was taken to SCUH, in a stable condition, after a motorcycle crash on the corner of Parsons Road and Maroochydore Road at Forest Glen at 12.30pm.
