A man has been airlifted to hospital after waiting hours for help following an all-terrain vehicle crash.

The man, in his 50s, is believed to have crashed the ATV on private property near Lake Borumba on Tuesday morning but he wasn’t found until the late afternoon.

The Sunshine Coast-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew was called into action at 6.17pm, landing close to the incident.

The LifeFlight critical care doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service flight critical care paramedic worked alongside local paramedics to treat the man for a significant leg injury.

He was flown to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

Another person was airlifted to SCUH, in a stable condition, after a single-vehicle rollover and entrapment on Silver Perch Road at Barambah, west of the Sunshine Coast, on Wednesday at 10.29am.

Meanwhile, a person with a significant leg injury was taken to SCUH following a fall from a bicycle on Cooroy Mountain Road at Cooroy Mountain at 6.56am.
