A high-profile retail property that is home to a well-known restaurant has sold for $2.15 million.

Located at 301 Weyba Road, Noosaville, the sale was driven by strong buyer interest and its future redevelopment potential.

Mr Jones and Me restaurant, which is celebrating 10 years this month, currently tenants the property.

David Brinkley and Paul Butler of RWC Noosa and Sunshine Coast marketed the sale campaign, which attracted attention from local and national investors.

“This was a highly sought-after asset due to its position and the potential for mixed-use redevelopment,” Mr Brinkley said.

“We saw strong inquiry levels from both investors and potential owner-occupiers, particularly those in the hospitality and food and beverage sectors.”

The property is located near the Noosa River.

Mr Jones and Me owners Ferne and Paul Lammens have confirmed to Sunshine Coast News that the restaurant will remain open with a “solid lease” in place.

“The building has sold but we have a solid lease for the at least the next seven years,” Ms Lammens said.

“Paul and I look forward to continuing to look after all our Sunny Coasters that have supported us over the past decade.”

Mr Butler said the varying potential of the property was a contending factor for interested buyers.

“What stood out in the feedback was that many buyers were looking for opportunities to add value, whether by occupying the property themselves or pursuing a redevelopment play,” he said.

A Queensland-based investor purchased the property and RWC Noosa and Sunshine Coast said the buyer planned to hold the property with a long-term vision for future redevelopment.

Mr Jones and Me opened in 2015.

Mr Brinkley said the transaction highlighted a continued appetite for “well-located assets with flexible zoning”.

“Noosaville remains a tightly held market, and this sale reflects growing confidence in properties that offer future adaptability, especially in lifestyle destinations like the Sunshine Coast.”

The restaurant first opened in 2015 and the menu is designed around classic bistro food served with a modern twist.

Ms Lammens said the team was preparing for a celebration event later this month to mark the decade.

“We are celebrating 10 years on Sunday, May 25, with a bottomless 10-course lunch – a journey through the decade.”
