A retro ice cream truck with retro prices will help locals beat the heat at a Sunshine Coast beach this weekend, helping a charity in the process.

Grocery chain ALDI will sell ice creams from 36c at Alexandra Headland Surf Life Saving Club on Saturday from 11am to 3pm.

It’s the final stop of a one-week road trip, which also included stops at Sydney and Melbourne.

All proceeds will go to Camp Quality, to support kids facing cancer and their families.

Nothing on the menu is over $1.

ALDI Australia buying director Andrew King said the retro truck was rewinding prices as if it was the 1980s.

The Aldi Ice Cream Truck will roll into town this weekend.

“ALDI’s Ice Cream Truck is delivering extra sweet savings this summer, so Aussies can beat the heat without breaking the bank,” he said.

“The treats that are up for grabs showcase a great variety of our most iconic ice creams direct from the freezer aisle to the people of the Sunshine Coast.

“From the retro-inspired Summer Delight to the refreshing Tropical and Rainbow Stackerz, there is something for everyone to enjoy at prices that will make you scream for ice cream like when you were a kid.”
