Leading Sunshine Coast development company Evans Long has secured its second site in the new Maroochydore City Centre project.

It will build a new $10 million office and retail building on the prime 1,173m2 site at the gateway to the new CBD on First Avenue.

Evans Long director Dirk Long said his company was pleased to be able to secure a second site following the resounding success of the first commercial building within the CBD, Foundation Place.

“We are pleased to report that Foundation Place is now 100% tenanted. This is a great result and we believe it is a reflection of the building’s outstanding design and its 5-Star NABERS rating, along with its prime location in the new Maroochydore CBD,” Mr Long said.

“Our new building, A1, will be a state-of-the-art office building designed by internationally-renowned architectural firm Cottee Parker,” he said.

“Their brief has been to deliver a contemporary, five-storey building which will embrace its gateway location and take advantage of the local environment and climate.

“As with Foundation Place, we are committed to achieving a 5-star NABERS energy rating for A1 which provides significant long term environmental benefits and cost efficiencies for purchasers and tenants alike.”

Evans Long director Matt Evans said A1 presented the first and what was currently the only opportunity to owner occupy commercial, or retail space, within Maroochydore City Centre.

“Going by the popularity of Foundation Place, we expect there will be keen demand from investors and owner occupiers wanting to secure office and retail space, particularly in the very early stages of the development before prices rise,” Mr Evans said.

“A1 will be suitable to a wide range of tenants including medical and professional offices with large floor plates of up to 754m2 available for purchase or lease.”
